Fin de semana en Lanzarote

Llega el fin de semana, muchos descansan y quieren tener tiempo para ellos mismos, para estar con su gente, relajarse y dedicarse a lo que más les gusta. Aquí hay una variedad de actividades, consejos sobre cómo pasar un fin de semana diferente en Lanzarote. Actividades para todos: jóvenes, menos jóvenes, niños, parejas, gente activa, gente sedentaria, amantes de la cultura, del deporte, de la naturaleza……

También en Lanzarote hay espacio para lo clásico: los mercadillos. Todos los sábados en Playa Blanca mercadillo en la zona del puerto deportivo de Marina Rubicón, de 9 a 14. Quesos, vinos, productos típicos de la zona y artesanía local están entre los mejores stands del mercadillo. No te pierdas el puesto de Duendemanía, donde estos dos chicos, muy amables, entallarán tus imágenes favoritas en el cristal: ya sea en botellas, vasos, marcos y mucho más… Aprovecha este día para darte un paseo: hay restaurantes, bares, tiendas, un pequeño centro comercial para toda la familia: pistas de bowling, minigolf, parque infantil, tiendas de ropa y de deporte….

Más conocido a nivel turístico es el mercadillo de Teguise, la antigua capital de Lanzarote, todos los domingos. Una ocasión única no solamente para comprar sino también para visitar el museo de la piratería y conocer una verdadera villa lanzaroteña, con sus patios, sus calles estrechas, sus grupos de tenderete…

Y si te gusta la naturaleza, por qué no aprovechas el fin de semana para apuntarte a las muchas actividades de trekking y senderismo que se organizan en estos dos días de la semana. Descubrirás así los caminos que los primeros habitantes de la isla utilizaban para moverse de un sitio a otro, antes de que la urbanización y las obras de infraestructuras empezaran a cambiar el paisaje autóctono conejero. Un consejo: recorre la ruta de los Ajache, desde la famosa playa de Papagayo hasta Puerto Calero, todo off road., ya sea andando o con una bici de montaña. Otra opción es la de una visita a Lanzarote a caballo y a Pardelas Park, sitios en los que tendrás la oportunidad de entrar a contacto directo con la naturaleza. Recomendado para grupos o familias.

Si de lo contrario te gusta ir de compras tienes dos centros comerciales donde puedes encontrar de todo: el C.C. Deiland en Playa Honda y el C.C. Biosfera en Puerto del Carmen. Esta es, a mi parecer, la mejor zona para la vida nocturna de la isla: discotecas, pubs, sala de bailes. Hay discotecas para todos los gustos: música latinoamericana, internacional, salones de fiesta, discoteca de ambiente… Y si te gustan las discotecas tradicionales, no dudes en salir por Arrecife, buenos DJ, buena música y ambiente.

No te preocupes, porque si eres una persona que adora el sedentarismo, también tenemos opciones para ti. Playa Honda y Arrecife tienen dos salas de cine, con estrenos semanales, versiones de las películas también en 3D y con días de apertura también por la mañana. Si eres sedentario, y te gusta el teatro no te pierdas los espectáculos que ofrece el Teatro Insular de Lanzarote, en Arrecife.

Hay muchísimo más que hacer, cada municipio publica mensualmente  las actividades de ocio y culturales que se van a desarrollar con toda la información que puedas necesitar. Week end is coming, many people have days off and want to have time for themselves, to spend time with friends and family, to relax and for their hobbies. Here is a variety of activities, tips about how to spend a week end in Lanzarote. Activities for everyone: youngs, adults, kids, couples, active people, sedentary people, for those who love nature, sport, culture....

First of all, we can not miss  something typical such as the markets. 

Every Saturday  in Playa Blanca, there is a market in Marina Rubicon, from 9am to 2pm. Cheese, wines, local products and handcrafts are among the best stands of the market. Don't miss the stand of Duendemania, where these two very friendly guys will cut your favorite pictures in either bottles, glasses, glass frames and more… Take advantage of this day for a walk since in this charming marina you can find restaurants, bars, stores, a small shopping center for the whole family: bowling alleys , minigolf, children playground, clothing stores …. Another option is the Teguise market, every sunday in the old capital city of Lanzarote. A unique opportunity not only to go shopping but also to visit the museum of pirates and to know a true Lanzarote town, with its courtyards, its narrow streets, its folkloric groups…

And if you like nature, why don’t you take advantage of the weekend to join in the many trekking and hiking activities organized in these two days of the week? You will discover the ways that the first inhabitants of the island used to move from one place to another, before the urbanization and the construction of infrastructure began to change the indigenous conejero landscape. A tip:  go throgh the route of the Ajache, from the famous beach of Papagayo up to Puerto Calero, all off road, either walk or with a mountain bike. Another option is a visit to Lanzarote a Caballo and Pardelas Park, recommended for groups or families.

If you like shopping, then visit the  two  main shopping centers of the island where you can find everything: the Deiland shopping center in Playa Honda and Biosfera shopping center in Puerto del Carmen. This is, in my opinion, the best area for nightlife on the island: discos, pubs, ballrooms. There are clubs for all tastes: Latin American music, international, gay discos, … And if you like the traditional clubs, don't hesitate to go to Arrecife, enjoying  good DJ, good music and friendly atmosphere.

Don't worry, because if you're a person who loves the sedentary life style, we also have options for you. Playa Honda and Arrecife have two movie theaters, with weekly releases, versions of the films also in 3D and with days of opening in the morning. If you're sedentary, and you like the theater don't miss the operas offered in the Teatro Insular de Lanzarote, Arrecife.
